The first travel portrait I ever shot, is the first one of this gallery. Little Ruby just adopted a stray cat and took me to her room to show it to me. I saw the kitten, Ruby’s eyes, the light, pulled out my camera, asked her if she wanted to pose for me and shot two views. From that day on I made a vow to never shoot a travel portrait if there wasn’t a story behind it, even if only a short one. I don’t want to steal pictures and refuse any kind of transaction. I like to meet expressive faces and, if they agree, take them home with me.
