These are what I found to be the digital equivalent to Polaroids. They are shot with the excellent Hipstamatic app on the iPhone. My choice of film and lens are always the same (John S Lens, Ina’s 1969 Film) and the effect is applied at the moment of shooting, not after like with other apps. There is no manipulation possible.
I like this way of shooting, it is close to the eye because there are no technical hurdles between me and the subject. As my phone is always with me, these images are a continuous view from behind the scenes of my daily life. It adds as my daily visual notebook.
