“The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.” — www.weforum.org
Photographing the World Economic’s Forum everyday life is a challenging task for me. Having designed their web site in my designer’s past more than ten years ago, I thought that my knowledge of their business would easily help me produce the photographs I had in mind. My first shots proved me wrong and urged me to a new eye.
To capture the inner atmosphere of the Forum is like trying to deliver honey to a bee hive. The company who thrives to build communities is a vibrant one itself and it has not been easy to accommodate to the buzz of hundreds of people evolving in such a generous workspace. This first series of photographs could seem too calm to translate what I describe. They are almost in slow motion for some. However, if one looks deeper into them, one may begin to hear the Forum’s heart beat…
This series is a work in progress.
