Davos is at a five-hour drive from Geneva. I live in such a small country and yet, some places seem so far…
I hadn’t been to the mountains for ages, I don’t like cold atmospheres, I am always happy to refrain from driving, I was alone and this was my first Davos as a photographer — the official photographer.
During the time of this journey, my mind kept wandering and wondering. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I felt bothered like the young lad I was who grew to criticize what others enjoy and I was excited as one can be to photograph the intimate spheres of those who are “committed to improving the state of the world”.
This essay does not reflect an opinion, nor was it made under the influence of a brief. It is the result of my free eye asking questions in the silence of my function.
